Think of the app. It's there.
Hold Caps Lock, tap a letter, and the app is in front. No search box, no app switcher, no hunting through icons. Caps Lock and M is Mail today, tomorrow and next year.
⌘-Tab makes you read a row of icons and count. The mouse makes you reach, aim and click. Other launchers make you type, wait, read and pick. They all ask you to find the app. Spot On gives you the app.
One key does three jobs. If Mail isn't running, it launches. If it's behind other windows or on another desktop, it comes to the front. If it's already in front, its next window comes up. You never stop to think which of those it is. You press the key.
After a week your fingers know the keys. You think "Mail", and Mail is already in front of you. We timed it: the typical jump to an app went from 1.67 seconds with ⌘-Tab to 0.79 with Spot On. Every app is one press away, however long ago you last used it.
