How is the license vault encrypted?

License keys live in macOS Keychain — never in SQLite, never in plain text. Export uses AES-GCM-256 with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations (OWASP 2023). Wrong password or tampered file means decryption refuses to open.
